CARE House of Oakland County Enlists Tanner Friedman for Capital Campaign Communications Support
Mar 04, 2010
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - CARE House of Oakland County, a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of abused and neglected children, has selected Tanner Friedman to provide strategic communication support for its newly announced Capital Campaign to raise funds for a new, larger facility.
Bringing extensive experience with nonprofit Capital Campaign communications, Tanner Friedman will manage the traditional media communications, social media and event strategy. The CARE House Campaign For Kids plans to raise $4 million to build a 14,000 square foot building and replace the existing 6,500 square foot building.
The new home for CARE House will be built just north of the current facility on Woodward Avenue in Pontiac. Groundbreaking is planned for April with an opening scheduled for the spring of 2011. The new CARE House building will nearly triple existing therapy space, eliminating the current waiting list for children. The new building will also expand the organization's abuse prevention training and volunteer programs.
About CARE House of Oakland County
CARE House of Oakland County was established in 1977 through a partnership of Oakland County's law enforcement agencies, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office and Children's Protective Services.
