Tanner Friedman Supports "Building Community" with The Jewish News and The Chaldean News

May 31, 2010

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Building Community, an ambitious partnership between The Jewish News and the Chaldean News, has retained Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications to provide public relations strategy and create editorial content in support of the project for both publications.

Building Community is a 10-month initiative designed to celebrate, educate and contemplate the shared histories, collaborations and futures of the Chaldean and Jewish communities. Through January of next year, the Jewish News and Chaldean News will publish shared content in each publication as part of the project, exploring the leadership and entrepreneurialism of each ethnicity; future growth opportunities in Southeast Michigan; community business contributions and the groups' similar cultural heritages.

The partnership also includes three special events designed to serve as interactive learning environments while supporting the Chaldean Federation of America's Adopt-a-Refugee-Family Initiative and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the leading non-Chaldean group working to help Iraqi Christian refugees. With more than 121,000 Chaldeans in the area, metro Detroit is home to the largest Chaldean population outside of Iraq.

The area's 72,000 Jewish population is one of the most influential in the United States. The Detroit Jewish News is published every Thursday at 29200 Northwestern Highway, Suite 110, Southfield, Michigan. Visit www.TheJewishNews.com. The Chaldean News is published monthly at 29850 Northwestern HIghway, Suite 250, Southfield, Michigan. Visit: www.ChaldeanNews.com.
