ArtServe Michigan Selects Tanner Friedman as Publishing Partner for Creative Impact Michigan
Jun 21, 2012
WIXOM, Mich. - ArtServe Michigan, Michigan's leading statewide arts and cultural advocacy organization, selected Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications as its publishing partner for the second year of Creative Impact Michigan.
Creative Impact Michigan is a statewide, monthly e-magazine and events website focused on the entrepreneurs, corporations and practitioners who are redefining the creative industry, as well as the innovative arts and culture groups, practices and events contributing to Michigan's reinvention.
"We enjoyed a very successful first year of publication, providing a platform for recognition and awareness of the important investments the creative industries make toward Michigan's recovery," said Jennifer Goulet, president and CEO of ArtServe Michigan. "In year two, we look forward to expanding our reach and partnerships in collaboration with Tanner Friedman."
Creative Impact Michigan features stories and spotlights on artists, initiatives, projects and news from Michigan's creative community, as well as quarterly videos, affirming the impact art and culture is having on people and communities across Michigan. The e-magazine focuses on how creative talents are being utilized to directly meet the current and future challenges and opportunities faced by the state of Michigan and its many diverse communities.
Each edition also is available online at www.CreativeImpactMichigan.com. The site also features a fully-searchable statewide arts and culture events calendar database, which is user-generated and free to use. All events are validated for accuracy before being posted to the site. In addition to offering an arts and cultural calendar service to the many regions of the state that do not currently have an established arts and culture calendar resource, ArtServe is partnering with several already-existing calendars around the state to offer a full-spectrum view of available events and activities throughout Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas.
Grant support for the publication is provided by the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan, Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation, Ford Motor Company Fund, Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, Masco Corporation Foundation, Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Interest in partner or sponsorship opportunities for Creative Impact Michigan should be directed to Addie Langford, Director of Development 248-912-0760 ext. 8# or firstname.lastname@example.org.
