Tanner Friedman Selects The Designate For Safe Travels
Jul 30, 2008
Farmington Hills, Mich. - Tanner Friedman has chosen Birmingham-based The Designate, the on-call professional chauffeur service, to provide safe transportation for its team members as a new employee benefit.
The firm is enrolled in The Designate's corporate program, which allows a company-paid ride home, in an employees' own car, after an evening out. The decision to offer The Designate underscores Tanner Friedman's commitment to its team and overall safety and the increasing cost of a DUI to not only an employee, but an organization overall. First offenses can often cost upwards of $10,000 for an individual, and $200 per month per employee for an organization in increased health and life insurance premiums, according to a Cal State study.
"As we continue to define our culture at Tanner Friedman, it's important for us to put our team members first," said Matt Friedman, Co-Founder of Tanner Friedman. "We trust The Designate to help make sure our staff is safe and back at work after being at an event."
The service may also be used after an evening of entertaining clients, to ensure they get home safely and can continue to conduct business while negating the risk of impaired driving. In today's culture, two drinks may constitute impaired driving; something many people may not take into account after a night out. By offering The Designate's service to employees, Tanner Friedman has chosen to inform, educate and provide a reliable alternative to the "white-knuckle" drive home.
