Sept 09, 2008
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Community 1st Development, Inc. a real estate company focused on urban residential development, neighborhood rehabilitation, "green built" homes and commercial redevelopment, announced it has chosen Tanner Friedman to promote its work, which includes three new projects in the City of Detroit and Inkster, respectively.
Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Community 1st's mission is to rebuild and revitalize area neighborhoods and provide a foundation for re-engergized communities. In partnership with HUD, MSHDA, local municipalities and non-profit agencies, the organization provides a range of vital resources necessary to facilitate home ownership for low to moderate income individuals. This includes significant grant, tax abatement and educational components. Community 1st Development is currently developing three separate neighborhoods: Alter Commons, in the Jefferson Chalmers area of Detroit; Paradise Valley, off Gratiot Avenue near Chene in Detroit; Haddon Estates, off Inkster Road near Michigan Avenue in the City of Inkster.
Said Mark Lewis of Community 1st Development: "We are striving to take back neighborhoods and rebuild communities, one home at a time. This is not about quick fixes or band aids but real, tangible, long-term solutions."
