Director Jennie Miller brings more than two decades of experience in the communications world to the firm’s non-profit and for-profit clients. She oversees and facilitates multi-platform communications campaigns and develops effective strategies to enhance clients’ public relations and marketing initiatives. Her clients include: Corewell Health, Samaritas, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, MIU Men’s Health Foundation and the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion.

Prior to joining Tanner Friedman, Miller served as the Communications Manager for the Detroit Zoological Society, demonstrating expertise in media relations, social and digital media, brand management, strategic planning and video production. Her work in media relations included writing and distributing press releases, coordinating media interviews, managing logistics for on-site filming, and overseeing all photo/video shoots on grounds for local, national and international media outlets. In addition, she managed the Detroit Zoo’s presence on multiple social media platforms, resulting in the development of a worldwide audience of more than 400,000 combined followers and a reach in the millions. She managed content on 10 Detroit Zoological Society websites, working in conjunction with the web developer and all internal departments.

Miller spent more than a decade as an award-winning journalist for C&G Newspapers and the Grosse Pointe News, covering government, community, crime and education. She also served as the Public Relations and Marketing Account Manager for the Detroit Medical Center’s Sinai-Grace Hospital, where she was responsible for media relations, crisis communications, social media, website management, digital communications and event planning.

Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida, where she studied history and political science.
